With regard to the more experienced applicants, we are primarily looking for lawyers experienced in any or all of the following practice areas:
- Corporate/Commercial Law
- Constitutional and Administrative Law
- Banking Law
The Senior Partner and Head of Chambers, Barrister Akhtar Imam takes a personal interest in building the profiles of the more experienced associates within the legal profession.
Paid internships lasting between two to six months are available. Law students and law graduates may apply. Applicants with good legal research skills and basic knowledge of company law will be preferred. Interns will get the opportunity to gain experience in legal research, drafting and knowledge management. They will be able to attend client conferences, negotiations, court hearings and seminars organised by our firm.
The role is to support and assist our lawyers in the preparation of High Court Cases. A Junior Court Clerk will receive first hand training from our Head Clerk who has over 30 years of experience in this field. Experienced court clerks are also invited to apply.
Applicants are required to have an average typing speed of at least 80 words per minute. Applicants also adept at short hand will be preferred.
